I had a friend pretty much tell me I'm not in good standing with the church because of my feelings about prop 8. What hurt more than her completely rocking me with her eloquence and well thought out argument was that her uncompromising, unabashed judgment and ability to completely disassociate herself from our friendship really, really hurt my feelings.

its all that masturbation and fornicating that put in bad standing, not your views on prop 8.
I'd assume it was me, apart from the fact Sam labeled the response as 'eloquent'. If it was, I don't see how me disagreeing with an opinion defaults a relationship to 'can't-be-friends'.
at thanksgiving one of my older brothers told me he thought I was brainwashed by living in Massachusetts when I told him I had mixed feelings about the issue. it really bothered me. I talked to my dad about it later and he said that was ridiculous. which it was.
